The new Mercedes G-Wagon armored vehicle has been revealed at the EUROSATORY 2010 event.

The Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon Light Armored Patrol Vehicle 6.X CONCEPT is an improved version of the LAPV 5.4. It’s got better agility, protection and playload capacity. The 6.X is also lighter than it’s previous version, without losing any of the armor protection and durability.

The new Mercedes has got a diesel engine, features a top speed of 150 km/h and can carry a payload of 1.3 tons.

Due to the collaboration between Daimler and EADS, the Mercedes has been fitted with various military equipment.

It also features a monocoque full steel body with a modular armor plate system which allows damaged plates to be replaced, lift front and rear coil-over air shock absorbers which can be adjusted from inside the car while it is moving. the car has a 450mm ground clearance and a hydraulic braking system and four ventilated disc brakes.
